Aida Dogic

Aida Đogić serves as Secretary of the Bosnian Herzegovinians Association of Iowa, supporting the Board of Directors in maintaining organization and effective operations. She is a first-generation college graduate from the University of Iowa with a passion for healthcare, community engagement, and expanding access to vision care. She received her bachelor’s degree in Health Studies on the pre-optometry track and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. During her time at the University of Iowa, she served as President of the Pre-Optometry Club, where she led initiatives focused on mentorship, professional development, and guiding students pursuing careers in optometry. Alongside her academic work, she gained hands-on clinical experience in an eye clinic. After graduating from the University of Iowa, Aida returned to Des Moines and continues to build her experience in the optometry field while working at an eye clinic in Urbandale, where she supports patient care through advanced testing, education, and clinical coordination. She is also engaged with local professionals through organizations such as the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce, strengthening her involvement in community leadership and professional community networking. Through her role in the association, Aida is committed to creating meaningful connections, empowering individuals, and fostering opportunities for growth within the Bosnian-American community.
