Meet Vahid

Vahid Mujić serves as the Director of Membership for the Bosnian Herzegovinians Association of Iowa. He moved to Des Moines, Iowa in 1998 with his family as a refugee from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Proud to call Iowa home, he has thrived in its welcoming community and remains deeply committed to giving back. He has worked in healthcare for the past 22 years in a variety of roles and currently serves as a Cardiology care coordinator at UnityPoint. Vahid also volunteers at Waypoint Free Clinic, where he is passionate about providing healthcare access to the community. Through both his career and community involvement, Vahid brings a strong sense of purpose, compassion, and dedication to service. His work in the association will strengthen community connections through membership in addition to improving health care access to the Bosnian community.
